this play was written as part of an MFA program at UBC Vancouver with professor Stephen Hunt, and was selected as one of five finaliss for The Ruby Slippers Theatre Company's Advance Theatre: New works by Women to encourage diversity in the Theatre.
27 Voices had a live read through performance with a full Indigenous cast and had the honour of being directed by Playwright & Director Quelemia Sparrow.

"27 Voices," a powerful play written via an Access studies MFA Playwrighting course at UBC Vancouver under Professor Stephen Hunt, was honoured as one of five finalists in The Ruby Slippers Theatre Company's Advance Theatre: New Works by Women, celebrating diversity in theatre. This poignant production, featuring a live read-through with a full Indigenous cast, is dedicated to raising awareness about the missing and murdered Indigenous women of Canada, embodying the creative ethos of Sarah Megan Hunter’s performing arts portfolio.
